1923 - graduated from the Tbilisi Conservatory; in 1932 - Mowcow Conservatory.
In Yerevan took lessons of musical composition from A. Spendiarov. Was the first
professor of violoncello class at Yerevan State Conservatory. 1938 - established
the Estrada ensemble of Armenia, headed until 1956. 1943-45 - artistic head
of Yerevan Musical Comedy Theater. Except of Armenian films has writtten also
music for the films of other Soviet studios ("The Snow Queen" cartoon
animation).

Born - 06.06.1903 in Tiflis (Tbilisi). Died - 01.05.1978 in Moscow.

for many Soviet and Armenian films. His music has been used for many American
