It is lyrical comedy, dedicated to Leonid Engibarov, the great Armenian clown and poet as well as to the city of Yerevan in the 60-s and 90-s. "Pierlequin" this is an odd combination of two traditional masks of Italian "comedia del' arte" - Pierro and Harlekin. The main protagonist of the film looks at the world from the point of view of a child who sees "the emperor's new dress". In terms of cinematography this film is tribute to "Les Enfans du Paradis", an famous film by Marcel Carne and Jaques Prevert. In terms of poetry this is the dedication to city of Yerevan and all great clowns of this little and sad nation - the Armenians.
